Annual conference

The NYS ID/DD Nurses Association (NYSIDDDNA) will be hosting the NYSIDDDNA 2024 Annual Conference September 9-11, 2024 at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, New York.

Hosting the Annual Conference provides the Association with the opportunity to meet its primary purpose, which is to promote the professional development of nurses who support people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

This conference will provide nurses and other interested health care professionals working in the ID/DD field with educational programs addressing a variety of contemporary issues for ID/DD supports with a host of esteemed presenters. The conference provides an opportunity for nurses to enhance and reflect on their own practice and/or network with colleagues throughout the state.

The Planning Committee has worked collaboratively throughout the winter/spring to select topics and speakers. The committee reviewed feedback and recommendations from past attendees and clinicians who work in the ID/DD field to bring you the most contemporary and engaging sessions.

REGISTRATION

The registration site is NOW OPEN! You can view the conference site by following the link in the REGISTER TODAY! box at the top of the page.

Member rates are available for everyone who is a NYSIDDDNA member by July 31, 2024. Early bird rates are available for members and non-members who register by July 31, 2024. Regular rates will apply beginning August 1.

The new online registration system allows you to register several people at a time. We recommend using the Worksheet for Group Registrations to collect the information needed for each person before you begin the registration process. The worksheet is for your preparation. You do not submit it when completing the registration process.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

The NYSIDDDNA 2024 Annual Conference will be held at The Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, New York. We are excited to host our conference at this hotel that offers historic charm and modern amenities. We have reserved the entire hotel for our Annual Conference.

When you call to reserve your room, you will have a few price options to consider. We encourage booking early to receive the lowest rate, which is $174 plus tax.

Please Note: Hotel rooms are not included in the conference registration fee.

EXHIBITORS & SPONSORS

The NYSIDDDNA 2024 Annual Conference provides companies and organizations an excellent opportunity to showcase their products and/or services to nursing and administrative professionals who specialize in the support of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Our attendees appreciate the opportunity to learn about the products and services you provide to enhance the care and enable their safe and effective practice of this nursing specialty.

The Exhibit Hall will be open on Monday, September 9 and Tuesday, September 10. The location of the exhibitors will provide attendees with easy access to the exhibit tables during the breaks and between sessions.  

Information for Exhibitors: The fee to exhibit is $525 if paid by July 31 and $625 if paid after that date. Exhibitors must submit the Exhibitor Registration Form, which is posted in the Exhibitors & Sponsors box to the right.  The exhibitor registration fee can be paid by check made payable to the NYS ID/DD Nurses Association or through PayPal. If paying by PayPal, please note that a service charge for using PayPal will be added to your payment. The links to pay by PayPal are on the Exhibitor Materials page. Information for Sponsors: We encourage you to consider becoming an Annual Conference sponsor. Sponsors are recognized for their contributions in writing and during the Annual Conference.

Sponsorships can be in the form of:

• An unrestricted grant that will be used where most needed as determined by the conference planners.
• A restricted grant that is designated for a specific purpose. Some options for restricted grants include sponsoring an item for all attendees (e.g., conference bags, folders, notepads, pens), sponsoring a food event (e.g., lunch, breakfast, a morning or afternoon break, a reception), providing funds to support a specific need (e.g., AV support or other technical need), or choosing another way to support attendees.

The amount of the sponsorship will depend on the option selected. If you are interested in becoming a conference sponsor, please email the NYSIDDDNA Planning Manager at information@nysidddna.org to discuss options.

Sponsors must complete the Sponsorship Agreement Form, which is posted in the Exhibitors & Sponsors box to the right.

Exhibitors who are interested in hosting an evening educational dinner for attendees are encouraged to contact the NYSIDDDNA Planning Manager at information@nysidddna.org. Monday and Tuesday evenings will work well for educational dinners. Dinner is on your own for attendees on those evenings.
